Digital Tour.AI is an internal innovation initiative by DigiPuppet Design aimed at expanding our digital experience capabilities through the integration of advanced AI systems, smart city data, and immersive storytelling technology. This project seeks funding to develop a scalable platform that enhances how residents and visitors engage with urban environments through intelligent, interactive, and culturally relevant experiences.
Project Purpose
Cities today are generating unprecedented amounts of data, yet the average citizen interacts with only a fraction of it. At the same time, cultural engagement, tourism, and urban mobility are rapidly shifting toward personalized, mobile-first experiences.
Digital Tour.AI addresses this gap by transforming complex city data into accessible narratives and intuitive journeys through AI-powered interpretation, dynamic navigation, and context-aware interactions.
Project Vision
Our goal is to create a smart city digital companion that blends AI-guided exploration, augmented reality storytelling, and real-time municipal data to enrich the way people understand and navigate their surroundings. This is not just a travel app—it is an AI cultural interface, turning streets, landmarks, and neighborhoods into living, adaptive stories.
Execution
The project integrates AI-driven navigation, multimedia storytelling, and smart city infrastructure into a seamless digital-physical experience.
- AI Personalization Engine: Analyzes user pace, behavior, and interests to dynamically adjust tour content.
- AR Story Layers: Uses location-based AR to bring cultural sites and history to life with interactive visuals and audio.

Result
The first milestone of Digital Tour.AI has been successfully achieved through the creation of a mobile app Figma mock-up, establishing the foundation for an accessible, mobile-first smart city exploration tool. The prototype demonstrates how AI-driven navigation, real-time data integration, and AR storytelling can work cohesively within a handheld experience that users instantly understand and can adopt without additional hardware.
Through this mobile prototype, we validated core interaction models, user flows, city-data touchpoints, and content structures—confirming the feasibility of delivering adaptive, narrative-rich urban journeys using existing smartphone capabilities. This stage also generated essential insights to guide future feature development, AI personalization logic, and technical specifications for seamless smart-city API integration.

Digital Tour.AI positions our studio at the forefront of AI-driven urban experience design, opening new opportunities in tourism innovation, public engagement, urban storytelling, and city-as-platform applications.
This investment supports the creation of a long-term, flexible framework that can evolve into commercial partnerships, licensing models, or city-supported programs.
Future Works
Building on the validated mobile foundation, Digital Tour.AI will evolve into AR glasses integration, extending the experience from handheld interaction to immersive, hands-free urban engagement. Future development will focus on rendering navigation cues, cultural overlays, and story elements directly into the user’s field of view, enabling deeper spatial storytelling and more intuitive interaction with the city environment.
Additional future work includes refining the AI personalization engine, expanding data connectivity with municipal systems, and developing a robust operator dashboard for tourism boards and cultural institutions. These enhancements will transform Digital Tour.AI into a fully immersive, context-aware smart city platform that adapts to user interests and environmental conditions in real time.
This phased trajectory—from mobile-first prototype to AR-enabled urban immersion—ensures both immediate impact and long-term innovation, positioning the project at the forefront of AI-driven smart city experience design.
